A 2005 Universal Pictures release, trailer revisited
Universal Pictures’ 2005 comedy The 40-Year-Old Virgin stars Steve Carell as Andy, a man who has reached his fortieth birthday without ever having sex. Paul Rudd also appears in the film. When the secret slips out during a poker game with his colleagues, they make it their mission to change his situation.
This original trailer sets up that awkward reveal and the scheming that follows. Along the way, Andy meets Trish, a mom, and the two fall head over heels for each other, giving the comedy its romantic thread alongside the antics of his well-meaning but meddling friends.
