Netflix’s new documentary The Fall of El Mayo turns to one of the most elusive figures in the drug trade. El Mayo co-founded the Sinaloa Cartel and spent years as the longtime partner of “El Chapo”. For more than three decades he remained a ghost to authorities, slipping out of reach while others around him fell.
This trailer sets up the story of how that run finally came to an end, framing the film as an account of his downfall. Viewers in South Africa can stream it from October 29, when it arrives exclusively on Netflix.
