Verity is an American psychological thriller based on Colleen Hoover’s novel of the same name. Dakota Johnson plays Lowen Ashleigh, a writer hired to ghostwrite for renowned author Verity Crawford, played by Anne Hathaway. Josh Hartnett plays Verity’s husband, with Ismael Cruz Cordova and Irina Dvorovenko also in the cast. Michael Showalter directs from a screenplay by Nick Antosca, with music by Volker Bertelmann.
The trailer follows Lowen as her assignment takes a dark turn when she discovers Verity’s chilling autobiographical notes. Wrestling with twisted confessions about Verity’s husband, she struggles to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession. The 114-minute film carries an 18 age rating and is set for release on 30 September 2026, showing at Nu Metro cinemas.
