Robotics, autonomous mobility, aviation, agriculture and energy took centre stage as Chery opened its 2026 International User Summit in Wuhu, China, demonstrating how technologies developed for its cars are being applied well beyond the automotive industry.
Running from 19 to 23 October under the theme “ECO-TECH FOR OUR FUTURE LIFE”, the event brings together more than 2,000 users, dealers and ecosystem partners from over 130 countries and regions. It incorporates the 2026 Chery Global Innovation Conference, which opened on 20 October. Underpinning the showcase is CheryMind, the company’s automotive-focused AI foundation model, supported by its independently developed Ziwei chips.

AiMOGA robots and the Chery robotaxi
AiMOGA Robotics uses perception, decision-making and motion control technology originally developed for intelligent vehicles, with around 70% of its research and development drawing on Chery’s automotive work. The portfolio includes Mobo, a humanoid robot intended for home companionship, plus service robots for commercial and public spaces. Its products are present in more than 60 countries and regions, with commercial deliveries exceeding 3,000 units.
Also on display was a purpose-built Level 4 Robotaxi using Falcon Pilot intelligent driving technology. It handles automated passenger pick-up and drop-off and can work with autonomous charging robots. The company’s intelligent driving systems have completed certifications under international frameworks including UN/ECE requirements.
Lingxiao J506 aircraft and farm automation
The same technology base extends to the Lingxiao J506, a passenger-carrying electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft with a targeted top speed of more than 350 km/h and a range exceeding 1,000 km. Electrification and AI have also been applied to agricultural equipment, with more than 66,700 hectares of automated field operations completed to date.
Chery charging and vehicle-to-grid energy
Energy featured prominently, with the Volt-dragon megawatt-level ultra-fast charging technology shown alongside a vehicle-to-grid (V2G) system combining solar generation, battery storage and charging infrastructure. V2G lets compatible electric vehicles draw power from and feed it back into the grid, acting as distributed storage. A solar and battery-storage microgrid at an electric heavy-truck facility in Spain has already replaced diesel-powered generation, and Chery plans 20,000 V2G-enabled stations globally by 2029.
Family focus and the electric Chery Q
For the CHERY brand, the summit carries the theme “Together. For Family”, including a Family Experience Camp demonstrating Super Intelligent Valet Parking in scenarios such as school runs and shopping trips, and an international media drive of the fully electric CHERY Q. “For markets such as South Africa, the important part is ensuring those innovations can be adapted to local conditions and deliver practical value to customers,” says Verene Petersen, National Marketing Manager at Chery South Africa.
