- Six summer 2026 adventures funded by Dacia.
- Winners received up to £5 000 each.
- Use of a Dacia Bigster or Duster.
- Entries opened June 2026, winners chosen July.
Dacia has wrapped up its Bucket List Fund, a competition that paid for six members of the British public to complete outdoor adventures during summer 2026. The trips took in surfing in the Basque Country, the Italian mountains, Norwegian fjords and a tour of locations around Britain.
Successful applicants received up to £5 000 in funding, the use of a Dacia Bigster or Dacia Duster, and multimedia tools to record their trips.

How the Dacia Bucket List Fund worked
The fund opened in June 2026 and invited the public in the UK to submit their dream outdoor adventures. A judging panel made up of members of Dacia UK and outdoor experts, including environmental advocate Gwilym Pugh, narrowed hundreds of entries down to six winners in July. The winners then set off in Duster and Bigster hybrid models.
Pugh said many entrants already had an adventure planned and simply needed someone to tell them to go now.
Bird reserves and a solar eclipse
Among the winners was Stephen Hackett of Salisbury, who drove 2,189 miles around Britain with his son Will. Travelling from Dorset to the Cairngorms and back down the east coast to Kent, the pair visited 23 RSPB reserves and spotted 163 bird species. Hackett described it as the most memorable trip and said the Bigster was an absolute delight.
John Poole of Cumbria headed towards Pamplona via the Pyrenees to see the total eclipse of the sun. Over fifteen days and 3,005 miles, his trip crossed France, Spain and Andorra in a Bigster that became known as Umbra. Poole said the eclipse was the reason for the journey, but everything that happened along the way made it unforgettable.

Dacia UK on the outcome of the fund
Lina Riberio, Dacia UK Brand Director, said the fund was set up to show that adventures of any size could be made accessible. She said none of the trips needed a fortune or specialist expertise, only a good idea, the right support and a car suited to the journey.
Dacia launched in the UK in January 2013 and has sold more than 260,000 vehicles there to date. Its line-up includes the Sandero, Duster, Jogger, Spring and Bigster. The brand’s message to anyone still holding on to a bucket list idea is to say yes.
