Visitors to the UK’s largest automotive retailer show will find the premium brand of the BYD Group on the AM Showroom floor at the NEC, Birmingham, on 11 November 2026. DENZA will bring one fully electric car and one Dual Mode plug-in hybrid from its launch line-up to the event.
Automotive Management Live is a one-day gathering of dealers, OEMs and suppliers. The two cars on public show are the Z9 GT shooting brake and the BAO 5 SUV.

DENZA Z9 GT and FLASH Charging
The Z9 GT makes its debut at the show and is the first model available to order in the UK with FLASH Charging technology. Using the latest Blade Battery 2.0 from the BYD Group, it can charge from 10% to 70% in five minutes at one of the 300 FLASH Charging locations to be rolled out across the UK over the next 12 months.
Three motors produce 1156PS and 1210Nm of torque, taking the car from zero to 62 mph in 2.7 seconds. Its WLTP range is 372 miles.
Z9 GT cabin and equipment
Inside, the front and rear seats are heated, ventilated and offer massage. A refrigeration compartment can cool its contents to as low as -6°C, and extensive sound deadening supports a 20-speaker, 1150W Devialet sound system.
BAO 5 Super Hybrid DMO powertrain
The BAO 5 is the first DENZA to use Super Hybrid DMO technology. Its electric motors work with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine to deliver 544PS and 760Nm, and the SUV is designed to handle rock crawling and sand dunes.
On electricity alone it can cover up to 56 miles, while a full tank and a full charge give up to 537 miles. Both variants come with leather upholstery as standard, and the top Ultimate grade adds Nappa-grade leather.
BYD UK panel discussion at the show
Beyond the cars, Steve Beattie, Deputy Country Manager for BYD UK, will join a forum panel titled ‘EVs and hybrids – how you can better help private buyers pick their next car’. The session takes place on 11 November at 11:05 in Theatre 2.
