The Hyundai Open returns to the Sunshine Tour from 12 to 15 November 2026, with rising and established South African professionals set to compete at Ebotse Links Golf Course in Benoni. Hyundai is pairing the event with The Long Drive, a five-part documentary series that follows five professional golfers.

Hyundai and the Sunshine Tour partnership
The tournament forms part of Hyundai’s sixth year of association with the Sunshine Tour. The partnership has grown beyond event sponsorship into a broader platform supporting players, tournament operations and the development pathway into professional golf.
Casey Jarvis won the inaugural Hyundai Open in 2025. He went on to win the Magical Kenya Open and the Investec South African Open Championship back-to-back in 2026, and subsequently made his debuts at The Masters, the PGA Championship and The Open.
The Long Drive golf documentary series
The Long Drive follows South African professionals Karabo Mokoena, Keenan Davidse, Herman Loubser, MJ Viljoen and Daniel van Tonder. The series examines the personal stories, challenges and support networks behind their careers, and is built around Hyundai’s “Progress Powers Performance” brand philosophy.
“Every golfer’s journey is different but what they have in common is the determination to keep progressing,” said Stanley Anderson, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa.
Hyundai STARIA buses and player support
Hyundai Automotive South Africa also acts as fleet and transport partner to the Sunshine Tour. It supplies Hyundai STARIA buses, SUVs and vans for the local ground transportation of players, officials, staff and guests across Sunshine Tour events. Selected players receive year-long vehicle access, while Order of Merit rewards support top-performing professionals.

Hyundai Open dates and where to watch
Anderson said the Hyundai Open is not simply a tournament sponsorship but part of a sustained strategy to build an association with golf while contributing to the people and infrastructure that enable South African talent to progress.
The teaser for The Long Drive launched on 8 October 2026 at 16h00 on the Hyundai South Africa YouTube channel, with further distribution through SuperSport. The Hyundai Open itself tees off at Ebotse Links Golf Course in Benoni on 12 November 2026 and concludes on 15 November.
