Judges at the 2026 Torino Automotive Design Award (TADA) have named the iCAUR V27 the winner of Best Interior Design in the Premium Car category. The award was presented on 11 September in Turin, Italy, and recognises how the boxy SUV combines its off-road proportions with a modern cabin.

How the Torino design award is judged
Hosted by Salone Auto Torino, TADA judges entries on overall design execution, creativity and how well the vehicle functions in the real world. The city has long been home to well-known automotive design houses. In the V27’s case, the judges pointed to the cabin’s mix of modern styling, everyday functionality and intuitive technology.
Inside the iCAUR V27 cabin
The interior follows the brand’s “Interstellar Cockpit” design language. While the exterior keeps bold off-roader proportions, the cabin is laid out for clear visibility, space and ease of daily use. An elevated driving position and large windows give a commanding view of the road, and soft-touch materials cover key contact points.
A “Interstellar Porthole” dual panoramic sunroof lets light into the cabin, with laminated glass that blocks 99.9% of UV rays. Navigation, media and climate functions run through a 15.4-inch 2.5K touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor. There are 49 storage compartments, and the rear seats fold completely flat to increase cargo capacity.
“The interior has to genuinely work for people every single day,” said Shannon Gahagan, Head of Brand and Marketing at iCAUR and OMODA & JAECOO South Africa, adding that practical details matter “especially in South Africa, where drivers count on their vehicles to handle a bit of everything.”
V Series awards and the user summit
The trophy follows the V23’s 2026 Red Dot Design Concept Award for its boxy profile. Both models form part of what the company calls its “Future-Classic” design approach as it expands its new-energy vehicle range.
Next on the calendar is the 2026 iCAUR International User Summit in Wuhu, China, from 19 to 23 October. Users, media and industry partners from nearly 100 countries are expected, with a focus on product development, user co-creation and modification, including the first iCAUR User Modification Carnival.
