Larger engine and technical changes
Beyond the bigger 2.2-litre diesel engine, the updated bakkie gains several technical, engineering, performance and styling changes over its predecessor. According to Isuzu, these make it more capable, more efficient and more engaging to drive.
Across the range, the D-Max can tow 3.5 tonnes and carry a payload of more than 1 tonne. A battery electric version is also offered alongside the diesel.
DL40 Double Cab styling and equipment
The DL40 Double Cab picks up a revised chrome-trimmed front grille, newly designed Bi-LED headlamps and new front fog lamp bezels. It rides on newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels shod with lower rolling resistance Dunlop tyres.
Among other updates, this derivative also comes with a Surround View 360° camera system, intended to aid awareness on the road, when parking and off-road.
