From October 20 to 23, Jetour will hold its 2026 Global Technology Experience Day in Wuhu, Anhui Province, and Moganshan, Zhejiang Province, in China. Themed “Future Travel Starts Now”, the event is part of the SUV brand’s ‘Travel+’ strategy and will include technology experiences, on-road driving, outdoor living and ecological conservation activities.
The strategy links technology, product development and what the company calls ecosystem building to real travel use. In South Africa, the brand points to the growing popularity of 4×4 vehicles among buyers who want one vehicle for daily driving and weekend trips.

Jetour XWD and GAIA technology
The brand draws on its work in artificial intelligence, intelligent driving, smart cabins and AiMOGA Robotics. Its XWD Fully Automatic Intelligent 4WD system, offered in the T1 and T2 Odyssey and Xplora models available in South Africa, works with 7+X one-touch intelligent modes to help on mountain roads, gravel, water crossings and steep slopes.
A newer base is the GAIA All-Terrain Intelligent Architecture, which underpins models to be launched in South Africa in 2027. On October 21, vehicles fitted with these systems will take part in mountain-road test drives and off-road experiences at Moganshan, an area of bamboo forests, mountains, winding roads and waterfalls.
Jetour G700, T1 and T2 lineup
The G700 combines comfort with off-road ability, and its launch in South Africa is planned for 2027. The T1 and T2, which continue to see strong local demand, are aimed at city driving and light off-road use. Accessories such as roof tents, onboard refrigerators and panoramic sunroofs are offered to suit travel and camping.
During the event, the company will run a camping market and a Starry Night Forum to show these features in outdoor settings.
Conservation and sport partnerships
Participants will visit Xiazhu Lake in Zhejiang Province for a crested ibis conservation initiative, weaving nests and releasing fish. Elsewhere, the brand supports cheetah conservation in Africa, turtle conservation in Malaysia, harpy eagle conservation in Panama and protection of the markhor, Pakistan’s national animal.
Its partnerships also include Chile’s Colo-Colo, FIBA and the Malaysia Marathon.
Jetour models in South Africa
Locally, the T1 and T2 with the XWD system are on sale now through Jetour South Africa. Buyers waiting for the G700 and the GAIA-based models will need to wait until their planned arrival in 2027.
