- Two years on sale in South Africa.
- Now among top 10 best-selling brands.
- Record 1 550 sales in January.
- T2 won South African Car of the Year.
- Dealer network grown to more than 55.
Two years after its local launch, the Chinese brand has established itself among South Africa’s top 10 best-selling automotive brands. It entered the market with a media briefing in July 2024 and began selling cars in September that year.

Jetour sales growth in South Africa
The first models were the five-seater Dashing and the seven-seater X70 Plus. Within seven months, by April 2025, the brand had reached the top 15. October 2025 brought a record 852 sales across those two models, along with the launch of the T-Series, made up of the T1 and T2 SUVs.
November 2025 produced 1 235 sales, the highest monthly figure at that point. Although on sale for only half the month, the T2 accounted for 545 units, or 44.1% of the total, immediately becoming the best-selling model. December reached 1 371 units and a first place in the top 10, while January this year set another record of 1 550 vehicles, more than 1 000 of them from the T-Series.
Plug-in hybrid T-Series and updated models
In April the line-up expanded with the T1 i-DM and T2 i-DM plug-in hybrid SUVs. Updated versions of the Dashing and X70 Plus followed locally in July, with revised exterior styling, improved interior comfort, upgraded technology and safety features.
May brought the South African Car of the Year title for the T2, making Jetour the first Chinese manufacturer to win in the competition’s 40-year history. The field was cut from 55 qualifying vehicles to 30 semi-finalists and 18 finalists, which a 25-member jury evaluated, including a three-day testing programme.

Jetour dealers, parts and after-sales
Research before launch showed that parts availability and after-sales support mattered most to buyers considering a new brand. The local network has grown from 40 dealerships to more than 55, supported by a 5 000 square metre parts distribution centre in Midrand, Johannesburg. In July, Jetour South Africa achieved Gold Status in the 2026 NADA Dealer Satisfaction Index Awards for the second consecutive year, in a survey that drew a record 1 610 dealer responses.
The company has also set up the Jetour Owners Club and customer events under its Travel+ philosophy. “Our first two years in South Africa have given us a great deal to celebrate. We are now looking forward to what comes next,” said Shaun Steynberg, Head of Marketing at Jetour South Africa. More information is available at www.jetour.co.za.
