- Kia wins three 2027 Parkers Awards.
- EV2 named Car of the Year.
- EV2 also wins Best Small Car.
- PV5 Cargo retains Van of the Year.
- EV2 priced from £24 245 in the UK.
Both of the top prizes at the 2027 Parkers Awards, Car of the Year and Van of the Year, have gone to Kia models. The EV2, the brand’s latest and smallest electric vehicle, took the overall car title and also won the Best Small Car category, while the PV5 Cargo held on to the van award for the second year running.
The Parkers Awards cover vehicles available to UK motorists and are judged on their real-world needs. There are only ten categories, so three wins gave the Korean carmaker almost a third of the awards on offer.

Kia EV2 wins two categories
Judges praised the compact electric car for its interior space, comfort, practicality and range. Launched earlier this year, it has been designed, engineered and manufactured in Europe, for Europe.
Tom Webster, Head of Content at Parkers, said the EV2 is “efficient, well built, comfortable, quiet and has loads of space inside”, adding that its blend of talent and value makes it “the best new car you can currently buy full stop”.
PV5 Cargo keeps its van title
Launched in 2025, the PV5 Cargo is Kia’s first purpose-built electric light commercial vehicle. It sits on a dedicated electric platform, offers substantial carrying capacity and is aimed specifically at business users. The range has since grown to include new size options.
Demand in the UK remains strong. As of 31 October, registrations had passed 5 000, making the PV5 the best-selling electric light commercial vehicle model in the UK so far in 2026. A larger sibling, the PV7, will join it in 2027.
Kia UK on the wins
Paul Philpott, President and CEO at Kia UK, described the awards as “a fantastic endorsement of two important new models that are already proving popular with UK customers”. He also credited the company’s dealer partners and dedicated PBV Centres for advising buyers of both family cars and business vans.

EV2 and PV5 Cargo prices in the UK
In the United Kingdom the EV2 starts from £24 245 on-the-road, and all long range variants qualify for the UK Government’s maximum £3 750 Electric Car Grant. Every PV5 Cargo variant is offered with the Government’s Zero Emission Van Grant, which cuts the on-the-road cost by £5 000.
