Owners with a home 3D printer can now make their own car accessories from free files published by Škoda Auto on Printables.com. The Czech carmaker says it is the first manufacturer to offer such add-ons through a dedicated platform, and the range includes storage boxes, cable management tools and cupholders.
Simply Clever moves into the home workshop
The accessories extend the Simply Clever features long associated with the brand. Users choose from a growing selection on Škoda’s profile, adapt the files to suit their needs and print the parts themselves.
They were developed by the company’s innovation incubator together with its design and engineering teams. Printing at home removes the lead times, tooling and inventory that conventional production requires.
Škoda accessories for everyday use
The project follows positive feedback from the Škoda community on 3D vehicle models released earlier. New items include cupholders, cable management tools, coin boxes, USB cable and cap hooks for seat-back pockets, phone brackets and top tether hooks, all designed to work across several models.
Many of the pieces use existing storage compartments and need no modification to the vehicle.
Parts for the Peaq and Epiq
For the Epiq and Peaq, owners can download cupholder covers, a jumbo box tray, special inserts and holders, and a lower console organiser. A clip-on cupholder designed for the foldable table in the Peaq takes both standard and large cups.
These items were requested by the community, and user feedback on the site helps the team decide which ideas to develop next.
