A new all-electric supermini, the B03, has been unveiled by Leapmotor. The B-segment hatchback is set to go on sale in the UK from early 2027, where it will be offered in a single, highly specified trim level.
It is the second model built on the Leapmotor Compact Electric Platform, following the B03X crossover. The hatchback measures 4,175mm long, 1,790mm wide and 1,550mm tall, with a 2,605mm wheelbase and a 9.8m turning circle.

Leapmotor B03 motor, battery and charging
Power comes from a front-mounted 145kW (194hp) electric motor producing 200Nm of torque. That is enough for 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 101mph. The drive unit weighs 60kg and uses oil cooling, and drivers can choose between Comfort, Standard and Sport modes.
A 53kWh battery, integrated using Cell-to-Chassis technology, gives up to 242 miles of range on the WLTP cycle. With 133kW DC rapid charging, a 10 to 80% top-up takes 21 minutes. Vehicle-to-Load capability allows larger devices to be powered, and a heat pump is standard.
Cabin space and storage in the hatchback
Boot capacity is 405 litres with the rear seats in place, rising to 1,305 litres when they are folded flat. A Dual-Level Cargo Floor allows items up to 2.47m long to be carried, and a 90-litre Leap Box under the boot floor holds wet or muddy items. The cabin has 30 storage spaces in total.
Seating flexibility comes from a fold-flat front passenger seat, a driver seatback that reclines to 149 degrees and LeapFlex rear seat bases that lift up to free 578mm of vertical space for items such as bicycles.
Screens and driver assistance on the B03
Inside, a 14.6-inch central display sits alongside an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, running the OS4.0 operating system with natural voice control. Trim patterns are inspired by Morse code, and the materials are OEKO-TEX certified. Multicolour ambient lighting can sync with music and links to parking sensors and door-opening collision warnings.
Safety is covered by 21 advanced driver assistance systems using 14 sensors.

UK availability of the Leapmotor B03
UK pricing has not yet been announced. The B03 is due on sale in the UK from early 2027, following the brand’s policy of a single trim level with equipment fitted as standard.
