Launched at the 2026 Festival of Motoring, the Lepas L6 mid-size SUV is now on sale in South Africa, priced from R469 900. It follows the L4, which introduced the brand locally, and gives Lepas a larger model in one of the country’s most competitive segments.

Lepas L6 camera and safety equipment
Both derivatives use an HD surround-view camera system with a 540-degree view around the vehicle, intended to make parking and tight manoeuvres easier. Front and rear parking sensors, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Lane Change Assist and Door Opening Warning are also standard.
At the top of the range, the Pantera adds a Level 2 driver-assistance package. It includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Lane Keeping, Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Headlight Control and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
Cabin technology and comfort features
Inside, every L6 has a 13.2-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 50 W wireless smartphone charging pad. A panoramic sunroof with an integrated sunshade, dual-zone automatic climate control, electric front-seat adjustment, an electric tailgate and keyless entry complete the standard list. Pantera buyers also get heated and ventilated front seats, power lumbar support, an eight-speaker Sony audio system and multi-colour ambient lighting.
Design, dimensions and engine
The styling follows the brand’s Leopard Aesthetics design philosophy, which draws on the movement, strength and elegance of the leopard. The SUV measures 4 554 mm long and rides on a 2 700 mm wheelbase. Boot space is 435 litres with five seats in place and 1 255 litres with the rear seats folded, while a 71-litre compartment sits beneath the load floor. Its roof rails carry up to 75 kg.
Power comes from a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 108 kW and 225 N.m, driving through a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Drivers can choose between Eco, Normal and Sport modes, and claimed combined fuel consumption is 7.2 L/100 km.
