Unveiled at the brand’s Global Elegance Night in Wuhu, China, the AURA Concept is the first concept car from LEPAS, the new-energy vehicle brand from Chery Auto. The reveal took place during the inaugural LEPAS Global Elegant Lifestyle Week and previews the visual direction of future models.
The car introduces the second evolution of the Leopard Aesthetics design language, with stronger proportions, more expressive surfacing, a new design identity and more scope for personal expression.

AURA Concept body and proportions
Porcelain-inspired surfacing first seen on the LEPAS L8 SUV carries over, with glossy sculpted volumes and fluid lines. Integrated air channels follow the contours of the body. A long wheelbase, short overhangs and a wide stance are paired with pronounced shoulder lines and Leopard-Eye headlamps.
Ivan Dulanovic, Chief Designer of LEPAS, said the stance “follows the running leopard; it is lean, forward and efficient,” adding that the air channels help to create downforce across the body.
New LEPAS front face and lighting
At the front, the rounded grille and side intake areas are combined into one clean black surface. Together with the Leopard-Eye light signature, this new face is intended to create a more consistent family identity across future LEPAS models.
Personalisation on the AURA Concept
A digital canvas at the front can display adaptable graphics, lighting and animations, while an elliptical rear display allows personalised taillight signatures. “The customer could, in a way, become the designer of their own car,” said Dulanovic. The silhouette stays recognisably LEPAS, which the brand links to its philosophy of quiet confidence and living at one’s own pace.

Colours inspired by natural landscapes
Three colours are shown on the concept. Dawn Pearl takes its soft pink tone from a Tahitian sunrise, Bacalar Blue reflects the blue-turquoise waters of Mexico’s Bacalar Lagoon, and Provence Twilight captures the blue-violet tones of lavender fields at dusk.
