On 26 November, Master Drive will host the gala evening of the 5th Annual Fleet Safety Awards, where the fleet industry in South Africa recognises organisations and individuals working towards safer roads. For the first time, people outside the invited guest list can buy a ticket to attend.

Proceedings begin at 13:30 with a networking reception and a series of activations, followed by the awards at 15:00 with the ceremony and a formal dinner.
According to Nishani Chetty, Managing Director of Commercial and Brand at Master Drive, industry leaders will give keynote presentations on emerging road safety trends. The headline partners will also hold a panel discussion titled ‘Local roads, local answers: how South African innovation is making fleets safer.’
Judging panel and the 2026 awards
One member of the judging panel will address guests before the awards are handed out. The judges represent RMI, the RTMC, the RAF, the AFP, the RSP-SA, the Truck Man, Standard Bank, Master Drive and SafeHorizons Solutions.
Guests will be served a four-course meal, and the evening includes an audience prize giving and the swag bag of gifts that has become a Master Drive tradition. Activations include a dedicated coffee experience, a red carpet photo moment at the entrance and a 360-degree camera.
Larger venue and ticket sales
Master Drive CEO Eugene Herbert says interest in this year’s awards is again remarkable, prompting the move to a larger venue. “The ticket price is structured to cover the dinner,” he says, with the programme, activations, prizes and swag bags provided at no extra cost.
