Pre-orders for the new Renault Trafic E-Tech electric open in the UK on 5 November, with first deliveries scheduled for Q2 2027. The medium-sized van is the first software-defined vehicle from Renault Group and has already been named International Van of the Year 2027.
In the UK it comes in advance and extra trim levels, with two body lengths, panel van and crew van configurations, and a choice of 60kWh or 81kWh batteries.

Trafic E-Tech software and connected features
As a software-defined vehicle, the van can gain new features and improved functions through over-the-air updates during its working life. Businesses can also integrate their own applications into its systems. Delivery firms, for example, can show schedules, routes and job details on the dashboard, while refrigerated conversions can run dedicated apps to manage onboard equipment. The electronic architecture also supports remote diagnostics and predictive maintenance.
Battery range, motor and charging
The 60kWh battery is intended for urban work, while the 81kWh long range pack delivers up to 292 miles on the WLTP combined cycle. Both use a 160kW motor producing 355Nm, and electricity consumption is as low as 17.2kWh/100km thanks to a heat pump, aerodynamic design and energy management.
An 800V electrical architecture allows DC charging at up to 240kW with the 81kWh version, giving an 80% charge in less than 20 minutes. Renault says it is currently the only medium-sized electric van in the UK market with 800V architecture. Vehicle-to-load capability lets tools and equipment run directly from the battery.
Load space, payload and equipment
Body lengths of 4.87m and 5.27m give between 5.1m³ and 5.8m³ of load space, enough for three Euro pallets. Payload reaches 1.3 tonnes and towing capacity is 2 tonnes. At 1.89m tall it fits many height-restricted car parks, and its 10.3-metre turning circle matches that of a Renault Clio.
Standard kit on advance includes a 10-inch digital driver display, a 12.3-inch openR evo multimedia system with Google Play Store access, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors all round, a reversing camera and automatic emergency braking. Extra adds metallic paint, more airbags, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, HERE navigation and 230V sockets.

Renault Trafic E-Tech electric UK prices
The range opens with the L1H1 urban range advance panel van at £38 000 + VAT, or £41 715 on the road including the £5 000 ZEV Grant. The L2H1 long range extra crew van tops the line-up at £48 000, or £53 715 on the road. Pre-orders open on 5 November.
