UD Trucks Southern Africa has added UD Trucks Komani to its dealer network, giving transport operators in Komani and the surrounding Eastern Cape areas local access to UD Trucks products, parts and aftersales support. The dealership officially opened its doors on 1 October 2026.
The new outlet is operated by Jacksons, a commercial vehicle business whose history dates back to 1927 and which is preparing to celebrate 100 years of operation in 2027.
Jacksons history in Komani
Mark and Lucy Wilson acquired Jacksons in 1990, and the business moved to its current facility in Sprigg Street in 1994. Over the decades it has built relationships with customers across Komani and the surrounding region and supported various community initiatives.
Filip Van den Heede, Managing Director of UD Trucks Southern Africa, said adding UD Trucks Komani “gives us an opportunity to strengthen our support for customers in the Eastern Cape while partnering with a business that has deep roots in the local market.”
Sales, parts and workshop services
The dealership will cover vehicle sales, parts, workshop and technical support. Its immediate priority is to give existing UD Trucks customers in the area a dedicated local point of contact, while introducing more transport operators and fleet owners to the UD Trucks product and service offering.

The sales team is led by Dealer Principal Patrick Casey, supported by Vera Lieberum, Ayanda Dumezweni and Sbongile Mathebula. Workshop Manager Johan Pelser heads the workshop, with Master UD Trucks Technician Fana and technical team members Ruan, Martin and Richard. Liezel, Chante and Ilze handle bookings, administration and general enquiries.
