Replacing the outgoing Multivan, the seven-seat Caravelle from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is now available to order in the UK, with prices starting at £41 960 excluding VAT. First customer deliveries are expected in early 2027.
The company says it brought the Caravelle nameplate back in recognition of the trust customers already have in the name. In Germany, the vehicle will still be produced under the Multivan nameplate. Seven seats come as standard, with a six-seat configuration offered as an option, and there are three trims: Life, Style and the new Edition.
Caravelle design and cabin changes
At the front, the people carrier gets a redesigned nose with new VW Bus headlights that are larger and more powerful than before, improving visibility. The bumper has also been revised to improve air intake for the air conditioning and ventilation.
Inside, a new dash panel with integrated topstitching houses a free-standing 12.9-inch infotainment system and a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit. Occupants get two USB-C points up front and four USB-C charging sockets in the passenger compartment, with improved charging speeds. For the first time, memory and massage functions are available for the front passenger seat with the optional AGR ErgoComfort seats.
Caravelle Edition trim details
The Edition, priced from £49 960 excluding VAT, adds a dark-tinted two-piece panoramic sunroof, glossy black 18-inch Brüssel alloy wheels and darkened LED rear lights. Its cabin has dark silver brushed inserts, a dark headliner and pillar trim, and ergoComfort seats in dark ArtVelours microfleece. Discover Pro satellite navigation and a Harman Kardon sound system are standard, and it is the only trim offered with a Black Roof option. Buyers can choose from two solid, eight metallic and three two-tone finishes across the range.
Caravelle prices and finance in the UK
UK buyers can choose a 150PS 2.0 TDI with a 7-speed DSG or a 245PS 1.5 eHybrid with a 6-speed DSG and 4MOTION, in Standard or Long body lengths. Excluding VAT, prices run from £41 960 for the Life Standard TDI to £54 695 for the Edition Long eHybrid. Including VAT and on-the-road costs, the range spans £53 703 to £66 850.
For orders placed from 6 November 2026 to 5 January 2027, finance starts at £499 per month on a Solutions Personal Contract Plan or £449 per month through Business Contract Hire, from participating Van Centres. The representative PCP example carries an APR of 4.9%.
