Business and fleet customers in the United Kingdom can now claim a £2 500 discount on the fully electric Volvo EX30 Cargo, after the car-derived van became eligible for the UK Government’s Zero Emission Van Grant (ZEVG).
The grant applies to eligible electric vans and is separate from the Electric Car Grant for passenger vehicles. With it applied, the EX30 Cargo costs from £33 529 on the road.
Volvo EX30 Cargo derivatives and sales
Based on the EX30 compact SUV, the van comes in two versions, the EX30 Cargo and the EX30 Cross Country Cargo, which adds increased ground clearance. In the UK, both are sold exclusively through Volvo’s fleet sales channels.

Load space and cargo conversion
In place of the rear seats sits a flat load floor with access to the lower floor, giving a payload of up to 390kg and a load capacity of 1 000 litres. A purpose-designed bulkhead separates the cabin from the cargo area, and modified rear side panels and doors increase usable space.
Wider-opening rear doors ease loading, while an additional work light improves visibility in the back. The underfloor subframe provides extra securing and mounting points for various commercial uses.
Powertrains, trims and standard equipment
Volvo Car UK carries out the work as a second-stage conversion, which can be specified on newly ordered vehicles or applied to existing stock across Model Year 2026 and Model Year 2027 vehicles. Buyers choose between the P3 (150hp) and P5 (272hp) powertrains, with Core, Plus and Cross Country Plus trims.
Standard equipment includes Safe Space Technology, Google Automotive Services, Adaptive Cruise Control, front and rear Park Assist, a rear-view camera, wireless smartphone connectivity, automatic LED headlights and a heat pump.
