This working week starts on the mild side across KwaZulu-Natal, with Durban sitting around 20 to 25C under cloud on Monday. From Tuesday onwards the wet weather moves in, bringing showers and thundershowers that ease into steady rain showers through to Friday. Durban slowly cools as the week goes on, dropping to about 17 to 18C by Friday. Pietermaritzburg stays warmer, reaching 30C early on, while Richards Bay and Newcastle both start around 28C before the rain sets in.
Keep an umbrella or raincoat handy from Tuesday, because the showers and thundershowers look set to stick around for most of the week. There are no active weather warnings from the South African Weather Service, so it is just a matter of dressing for the damp and cooler days ahead.
