Spring is showing its true colours across the North West this week, with a warm and mostly unsettled stretch ahead. Mahikeng starts on the cooler side at 13 to 24 degrees on Monday, then climbs steadily to reach 29 degrees midweek before easing off again by Friday and Saturday. Showers and thundershowers are on the cards most days, so keep an umbrella handy wherever you find yourself. Sunday looks to settle down with high level clouds rounding off the week.

Rustenburg is the warm spot, reaching 28 degrees, while Potchefstroom and Klerksdorp sit a touch cooler in the mid twenties with their own share of showers and thundershowers. With no warnings in place, it is a good week to get out and about, just plan around the afternoon storms and enjoy the mild spring days.
