Spring is making itself felt across the Northern Cape this week, with unsettled, showery weather the main story. In Kimberley, expect showers and thundershowers most days as temperatures climb steadily from a cool 14 to 22 degrees on Monday up to 17 to 29 by midweek, before easing back to 17 to 26 and settling into high level clouds by Sunday. Upington runs warmer, reaching 27, 29 and even 31 degrees with showers and thundershowers, while De Aar sits between 23 and 26 with similar conditions.
Over in the west, Springbok stays drier but changeable, moving between partly cloudy and cloudy skies and topping out around 29 degrees. Do take note of the veld fire conditions warning for the Nama Khoi and Springbok area, so hold off on any open flames outdoors. Keep an umbrella handy elsewhere.
