Told from inside the criminal underworld, November 1963 revisits the killing of a president through the eyes of Joseph Giancana, who spent those days alongside his brother, mob boss Sam Giancana. Roland Joffé directs a script co-written by Nicholas Celozzi, a nephew of the brothers, with Bonnie Giancana and Joseph Giancana. John Travolta leads a cast that includes Robert Carlyle, Dermot Mulroney, Jefferson White and Mandy Patinkin.
Unfolding in real time, the two-hour film follows the underbelly said to have pulled off the crime, blending history, crime and thriller elements. South African audiences can see it only in cinemas, with Ster Kinekor screening it from 20 November 2026.
