The trailer in brief
A shooting star designs constellations to survive
Randomly generated arcade puzzler built for long-term mastery
Made single-handedly by Eliss creator Steph Thirion
Arrives on PlayStation 5 on 5 November
Built around a shooting star that must design constellations to stay alive, Faraway is a randomly generated arcade puzzle game with a minimalistic and demanding edge. Game designer, creative coder and musician Steph Thirion, known for the cult game Eliss, created it single-handedly. Realtime visuals and interactive music shape the experience, which leans on deep expressive play, discovery and replay.
This release date trailer confirms the puzzler is headed to PlayStation 5 on 5 November. Sessions can be as short as a quick bite or stretch over several hours, and the design is aimed at long-term mastery, so players can keep returning to it for years. Thirion’s project arrives as part of the PlayStation lineup.
