The trailer in brief
Squad brings 50v50 combined-arms warfare to PS5
Free Alpha Preview runs October 16 to 25
Alpha Preview is exclusive to PS5
Full console launch is planned for 2027
Large-scale military combat is the focus of Squad, which drops 100 players onto real-world terrain for 50v50 battles at full scale. Infantry advance under armour cover while helicopters ferry troops to the front line. Behind them, logistics crews keep the entire operation supplied, so teamwork matters as much as aim. Communication and coordination sit at the heart of every match.
This announcement trailer confirms the shooter is heading to consoles, with a full launch planned for 2027. Before then, PS5 owners can jump into a free Alpha Preview, exclusive to Sony’s console, running from October 16 to 25. It offers an early chance to try the combined-arms action ahead of the wider release.
