Cape Town has flipped the switch on its first solar power plant, and the city reckons it could save residents a cool R400 million. That’s sunshine doing the heavy lifting, which suits Capetonians perfectly: free, plentiful and just a little bit smug. Still, saving R400m is lovely, but a slice of the combined R116 million up for grabs across the R106 million Powerball and R10 million Powerball XTRA would feel even sunnier.
Numbers updated here after the draw. Powerball and Powerball XTRA draw every Tuesday and Friday at 21:00 SAST.
