AION and its parent company GAC have signed a deal to become the Official Automotive Partner of Chelsea Football Club, the reigning Club World Cup champions.
The agreement links one of China’s biggest car companies with the London club and comes as GAC extends its global reach and expands into new markets with its range of models.
What the Chelsea partnership includes
The relationship covers combined storytelling, brand experiences and engagement with the club’s fanbase. Fans will see an AION car leading the men’s team players to the stadium, while branding inside Stamford Bridge will be visible in the ground and on broadcasts around the world.
Chelsea’s men’s team won the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025. Founded in 1905, the club plays at the 40,000-capacity Stamford Bridge.
AION models and warranty in the UK
AION launched in the UK in early summer 2026. Its first model there, the AION V electric SUV, was recently joined by the electric UT hatchback, which arrived in UK showrooms last month.
In the UK, AION offers the Great 8 Promise, which gives owners an eight-year warranty alongside eight years of servicing, roadside assistance and MOT tests. AION Auto UK is a joint venture between GAC and Jameel Motors and is headquartered in Slough.
