BMW has revealed the iX3 M60 xDrive, the most powerful version yet of its fully electric Neue Klasse SUV. The M Performance model uses an electric motor at each axle, produces 450 kW/612 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds.
Orders for the new BMW iX3 M60 xDrive will open at the end of January 2027, with production starting at BMW Group Plant Debrecen in Hungary in spring 2027.

BMW iX3 M60 xDrive range and charging
The iX3 M60 xDrive has a maximum range of up to 754 km / 468 miles (WLTP), with combined electric power consumption of 20.5 to 17.6 kWh/100 and CO2 class A. Its maximum charging rate is 400 kW.
Power comes from the all-electric BMW M eDrive powertrain. The Heart of Joy and BMW M Dynamic Performance Control coordinate driving-related information in milliseconds, and the driver can use the shift paddles on the steering wheel to adjust how M eDrive responds. Adaptive M suspension with variable sport steering and an M Sport differential are standard, along with speed-sensitive sound design.
Exterior design and M Yellow Lights
The front end carries new M Yellow Lights, inspired by racing cars such as the BMW M Hybrid V8, which can only be used with the low-beam headlights depending on the market. Light elements with three stripes sit either side of the kidney grille, and the BMW Iconic Glow exterior package is standard, adding BMW Selective Beam, Adaptive Headlights and a motorway beam pattern.
Standard 21-inch M light-alloy wheels can be swapped for options up to 22 inches, including 22-inch M aerodynamic wheels exclusive to this model. A roof edge spoiler with two aeroblades increases downforce at the rear axle, and 25 special request paint finishes are offered at launch.

Interior and standard equipment
Inside, BMW Panoramic iDrive with BMW Operating System X combines the standard BMW Panoramic Vision, a 17.9-inch Central Display angled towards the driver and an M Sport steering wheel with a red 12 o’clock marker and buttons for Boost Mode and M Mode. The optional BMW 3D Head-Up Display projects information into the driver’s line of sight.
M Sport seats are standard, with ten-way electric adjustment, a massage function and illuminated M logos in the head restraints. M seat belts and an M-specific display with a Powermeter complete the cabin. Orders open at the end of January 2027.
