- Covers ADAS support and calibration.
- Pre- and post-repair diagnostic scans included.
- Next-day parts delivery across the UK.
- Eight-year warranty under the Great 8 Promise.
Electrified car brand AION has teamed up with CRG Diagnostics to reduce the time its vehicles spend off the road after repairs. The arrangement also ensures cars are calibrated after repair using manufacturer diagnostic software, supporting AION owners across the UK.
CRG Diagnostics, a provider of mobile ADAS calibration, coding and diagnostic solutions, will help the brand deal with common challenges faced by the body repair and replacement glass sectors.
What CRG Diagnostics will provide
Across the UK, the company will offer manufacturer-level diagnostics, component coding and programming support, ADAS support and calibration, and pre- and post-repair diagnostic scans for AION vehicles.
The service complements a fully stocked UK-based parts centre that provides guaranteed nationwide next-day delivery. It also sits alongside UK-specific repair methods developed with Thatcham Research, now available on its e-Scribe platform.
AION and CRG on the partnership
Ben Hurford, Aftersales Director at AION Auto UK, said the measures are “designed to remove unnecessary delays from the repair process and reduce vehicle downtime.” He added that the aim is to make the repair journey as straightforward and efficient as possible for repair partners.
Justin Bown, Group Managing Director of Collision Repair Group, said that as AION vehicles begin appearing in greater numbers on UK roads, CRG “already has the capability and technical support in place to work with accident repair centres, replacement glass providers and fleet customers.”
AION UT and V ownership package
The brand recently launched its second model in the UK, with the AION UT hatchback joining the AION V SUV. Both come with the AION Great 8 Promise as standard.
That package comprises an eight-year warranty, eight years’ servicing, eight years’ roadside assistance and MOT until the car is eight years old, all transferable to future owners. AION was founded in 2017 by GAC Group, and AION Auto UK is a joint venture between GAC and Jameel Motors, headquartered in Slough.
