- UT Cross and GS7 revealed in Paris.
- UT Cross rides 20mm higher than UT.
- 204PS motor and 60kW battery.
- UT Cross UK launch in early 2027.
- GS7 brings hybrid and plug-in hybrid power.
Two new models from AION were unveiled at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, with both due in the UK in 2027. The electric UT Cross made its global debut, while the GS7 SUV appeared in Europe for the first time and will take the brand into hybrid powertrains in the UK.

AION UT Cross design and practicality
Created at the company’s Milan Design Centre, the UT Cross is a raised version of the UT supermini. It rides 20mm higher and gains matt black wheel arch and lower body trim, a ‘floating’ roof with black roof rails and its own signature lighting.
Wider 225 mm tyres sit on a unique alloy wheel design. Behind the rear seats is a 440-litre boot, and the cabin offers space for front and rear passengers.
UT Cross powertrain and equipment
Power comes from the same 204PS powertrain and 60kW battery used in the UT hatchback, which arrived in UK showrooms last month. Standard equipment carried over from that car includes a heat pump and a heated steering wheel.
UK pricing and specification will be announced ahead of the UK launch in early 2027.
AION GS7 hybrid and plug-in hybrid SUV
Already on sale in several markets across South America and Central Asia, the GS7 is a five-seat SUV and the first production model built on a new EV+ platform. For the UK, plans include both hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, the brand’s first move beyond full EV powertrains there. Its cabin brings technology and features not yet seen on AION models.
Jon Wakefield, Managing Director of AION Auto UK, said the UK line-up “will grow with at least five new cars over the next 18 months, including the UT Cross and GS7, on the way to an eight-strong model family by 2030.”
Great 8 Promise and UK availability
UK buyers are covered by the Great 8 Promise, which includes an eight-year warranty, eight years’ roadside assistance, eight years’ servicing and MOT until the car is eight years old. The package is VIN-locked, so it transfers to the next owner. Full GS7 specification will be revealed closer to its arrival at AION’s UK dealers in 2027.
