Making its world premiere at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, the Cuorerosso concept from Alfa Romeo sets out how the Italian brand, founded in 1910, plans to approach its next era of mobility. The stand around it also carries the new Edizione Luna Rossa line-up, a 33 Stradale in a livery dedicated to the French capital and a 1966 Duetto Spider from the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese.
Cuorerosso concept design and dimensions
The company describes the car as neither an anticipation of a production model nor a mere exercise in style, but a manifesto for a future multi-energy line-up with flexible architectures, a range of powertrains and models up to 4.7 metres long. The concept itself is a 4.7-metre 2+2 coupe shaped under the Necessary Beauty design philosophy by the Centro Stile.
Familiar cues are reworked. A wedge line runs along the side to a Coda Tronca tail, the Scudetto and Trilobo gain a light signature that pulses like a heart, and rear-hinged back doors pair with flush glass and forged rims based on the classic telephone design. Its Liquid Ink Red paint combines a fine aluminium base with a transparent coloured layer, shifting from vibrant red to near black in different light.
Cuorerosso cabin and hybrid powertrain
Inside, the dashboard draws on the 1967 33 Stradale and its newly launched counterpart. A Cannocchiale Vivente instrument binnacle changes between Immersivo and Concentrato settings, reducing information as driving engagement increases, while a Magma Display control centre sits on the central tunnel. Cruise, Sport and Quadrifoglio driving modes are offered, and materials include hand-finished Poltrona Frau nubuck, regenerated leather, recycled carbon fibre with red resins and a monofilament fabric inspired by Luna Rossa sailing clothing.
Full-Electric, Plug-in Hybrid, Mild Hybrid and Full-Hybrid options are all envisaged, with a 2.9 V6 Full Hybrid and Q4 all-wheel drive as the performance flagship. In the brand’s words, “With no heart, we would be nothing but machines.”
Edizione Luna Rossa and heritage models
The Edizione Luna Rossa spans the Junior, Tonale, Giulia and Stelvio, strengthening the partnership with the Italian sailing team ahead of the 38th America’s Cup in 2027. Beside them, the 33 Stradale wears damask visuals on the Quadrifoglio celebrating ties between Italy and France.
