Alpine has unveiled the A310 Vision at the Paris Motor Show, a one-off concept car that reinterprets the Alpine A310 of the 1970s in a contemporary, retro-futuristic form. The concept was created by Alpine’s Design teams and is described as a creative exploration of the brand’s heritage rather than the announcement of a future production model.

Alpine A310 anniversaries behind the concept
The unveiling coincides with the 55th anniversary of the Alpine A310 four-cylinder and the 50th anniversary of the A310 V6. The original A310 was unveiled in 1971 to follow the Berlinette, and stood out for its taut, geometric design and low, wide stance.
The design teams worked with an original A310 placed in the middle of the studio as a reference, using hand-drawn sketches and analysis of its lines. The concept draws on the simpler early four-cylinder cars and on the V6 versions with their widened wings.
A310 Vision dimensions and exterior design
The A310 Vision is 4.55 m long, 1.18 m high and 2.03 m wide at its broadest point at the rear, with a 2.45 m wheelbase. It sits on triangular “A”-shaped wheels that recall the full metal wheels of the early cars, and pairs aluminium bodywork with a black lower section inspired by Formula 1 and a semi-transparent cabin bubble.
Details include headlights that appear from a flexion in the front end on start-up, a bonnet with an “S-duct” well, and a “Y zero” blade running through the centre of the car towards the rear. The two-part split rear wing uses a transparent finish, and the blade-shaped rear lights include an aerodynamic downforce function.

Interior and the Alpine APP platform
Although the concept focuses on exterior design, its semi-transparent cabin shows seats with organic shapes, colour-blocked elements in bold colours and physical controls inspired by Hi-Fi equipment.
The A310 Vision is based on Alpine’s new APP platform, which is designed for sports cars while keeping practical modularity. The same platform will also underpin the next-generation Alpine A110. The A310 Vision itself remains a one-off design study, and Alpine has not announced any plans to build it.
