Audi has launched the all-new A2 e-tron in the United Kingdom, a fully electric compact model that revives the name of the original, economical A2. Audi describes it as the most efficient electric model it has produced. Prices start at £32 200 on the road, with first UK customer deliveries due in early 2027.
The A2 e-tron has short overhangs and a 2.77-metre wheelbase, and is offered with three battery sizes, four power outputs and a range of up to 397 miles between charges.

Audi A2 e-tron batteries, motors and range
Batteries of 52 kWh, 61 kWh and 84 kWh are each paired with one of two permanent-magnet synchronous motors and a single-speed automatic transmission. Outputs are 170PS, 190PS, 231PS and 326PS. The 170PS version reaches 62 mph in 8.8 seconds and covers up to 261 miles, while the 190PS car takes 7.9 seconds and covers up to 310 miles. The 231PS model has the longest range at up to 397 miles. The 326PS version, with 545 Nm of torque, reaches 62 mph in 5.7 seconds, has a top speed of 124 mph and covers up to 386 miles.
Maximum DC charging is 100 kW on the 52 kWh car, 105 kW on the 61 kWh car and 183 kW on the 84 kWh versions, with 10 to 80 per cent charging times of 24, 26 and 29 minutes respectively. A drag coefficient of 0.24 contributes to efficiency, while dual-line door seals and acoustic glazing help cabin refinement.
