Paris Motor Show visitors in 2026 are getting a first look at the F3VER, a new concept car from DS Automobiles. The compact electric model marks a new chapter for the brand and is intended to inform its future designs.
Designed and developed entirely in-house, the concept explores three themes: desirability, personalisation and everyday freedom. Its name refers to the ‘fever’ of attraction the brand hopes it will create. Chief Executive Officer Xavier Chardon said the result “refuses to be confined by conventional categories”.
DS F3VER dimensions and lighting
The car measures 4.19m long, 1.85m wide and 1.46m tall. At the front, a vertical illuminated element carries the brand emblem, framed by a Y-shaped lighting signature that combines the headlamp and daytime running light.
A matching vertical element sits at the rear, with an illuminated, digitalised DS emblem in the centre of the bumper. The tail lights comprise 16 LED panels held by an ultra-lightweight magnesium structure inspired by the vaulted roof of the Grand Palais in Paris.
Personalisation options on the concept
Owners would be able to customise the panoramic roof surround. The two-tone paint has a dividing line that runs back to the lights and wraps the tailgate, sides and bumper, while a Cosmic Blue dichroic colour, developed for this car, shifts from vivid blue to deep violet depending on the light.
Animated lighting in the rear feature personalises the vehicle, interacts with its surroundings and conveys information. The geometric wheels carry champagne-coloured accents and ‘Clous de Paris’ guilloché detailing.
Practicality and the Design Intelligence approach
A generous wheelbase frees up interior space, and the boot holds 400 litres. Underpinning the design is a philosophy DS calls ‘Design Intelligence’, which aims to reduce components, lighten the architecture and improve aerodynamics. One-piece bumpers and the removal of unnecessary trim around the wheel arches and lower body are examples. Design Director Thierry Metroz said the process “simplifies and accelerates development”, with digital and artificial intelligence tools from Stellantis supporting the work.
The F3VER sits at the heart of the DS stand beneath the dome of the show, where visitors can use a web application to create, personalise and share selfies with the concept.
