Ford South Africa has added the limited-edition Mustang GT Nite Pony pack to its local line-up, giving buyers of the seventh-generation V8 sports car a version with blacked-out exterior detailing. Priced at R1 375 000, the Nite Pony pack keeps the Mustang GT’s engine, transmission and drive modes and changes its appearance.

Mustang GT Nite Pony pack exterior details
The pack uses 19×9-inch front and 19×9.5-inch rear black-painted aluminium wheels, black GT, 5.0 and Pony badges, black mirror caps and a black grille. A painted black roof is available across all exterior colours, while a large rear spoiler finished in Absolute Black and headlamps with black bezels complete the treatment.
The Nite Pony pack is offered in Oxford White, Vapor Blue, Orange Fury, Race Red, Molten Magenta and Absolute Black. Ford says the contrasting black elements stand out most on the lighter colours.
Coyote V8 engine and drive modes
Power comes from Ford’s naturally aspirated 5.0-litre Coyote V8, which produces 328 kW at 7 000 r/min and 540 N.m at 5 100 r/min. It is paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and drive goes to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential.
Selectable Drive Modes include Normal, Sport, Track, Drag Strip, Slippery and Custom, which adjust steering effort, engine response, transmission and electronic stability control to suit the driver and conditions.
Mustang sales history in South Africa
More than 4 700 Mustangs have been sold in South Africa to date. The model became officially available to a broader local audience with the sixth generation in 2015/2016, the first Mustang generation produced in right-hand drive for global markets. The seventh-generation Mustang GT and Mustang Dark Horse arrived in late 2024.
Ryan Searle, Director of Sales Operations at Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa, said the Nite Pony pack “is designed for customers who want the performance and heritage of Mustang GT, but with an appearance that stands apart.”
