Distributor International Motors Ltd (IML) has appointed Sophie Crétel to the new position of PR Campaigns and Activations Manager. In the same announcement, Thomas Davis was promoted to PR Operations & Administration Senior Executive.
IML is the distributor partner in the United Kingdom for Subaru UK & Ireland, Isuzu UK, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, GWM UK and FOTON.

Sophie Crétel joins the IML PR team
Crétel will work across every brand in the group’s portfolio, including Isuzu, Subaru UK & Ireland, GWM UK, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK and FOTON. Many journalists will already know her. She was recently part of the events team at IML and has worked on several PR and media events over the past few years.
Commenting on the move, she pointed to the range of products in the group. “Our legacy brands Subaru and Isuzu are now offering credible EV alternatives, Mitsubishi has recently recommenced vehicle sales, and we have the forthcoming launch of the FOTON LCV brand,” she said.
Thomas Davis promoted to oversee press fleet
Davis has been with IML for nearly three years. In 2025 he was Highly Commended by the Guild of Motoring Writers in its Young PR of the Year Award.
His new role puts him in charge of all press fleet and media vehicle logistics for the brands the company handles.
Group PR functions brought together at IML
James Drake, Head of PR at International Motors Ltd, welcomed Crétel and described the promotion as recognition of the contribution Davis has made over the past year. According to Drake, combining the group PR functions lets the team work across the full brand line-up and “deliver stronger campaigns, events and media support across the business.”
IML is the automotive division of the IM Group, which also operates in the property and finance sectors and has 50 years of experience in the European motor industry. The company runs its vehicle import and preparation facility in Sheerness and provides aftersales support from a 240,000 sq. ft. bonded parts and logistics warehouse in West Bromwich. Media enquiries for the brands can now be directed to Crétel and Davis within the group PR team.
