Until 31 March 2027, private customers ordering a new OMODA E5 or JAECOO E5 from participating UK retailers can claim a home charger with standard installation, worth up to £1 029, at no cost. The deal is delivered with Octopus Energy and applies to orders placed from 9 October 2026.
Petrol prices have swung sharply through 2026, with unleaded averaging 174.71 a litre according to RAC Fuel Watch in October 2026. Octopus Energy says drivers can save up to 85% by charging an EV at home.

How the Octopus Energy offer works
Buyers pick the option that suits how they expect to charge. Those with off-street access can take the Octopus Charge (untethered), the supplier’s own smart charger, while those who depend on the public network can opt for £1 000 of credit through Octopus Electroverse instead.
At the point of sale, the retailer refers the customer to Octopus Energy and records the chosen option. Home charger customers receive an email with a link to order online. Anyone wanting a different Octopus charger, or whose property needs a non-standard installation, pays the difference between £1 029 and the quoted price. Credit customers get a one-time voucher code by email within 14 days, and the full amount is applied as soon as it is entered in the app.
OMODA E5 and JAECOO E5 specifications
The OMODA E5 pairs a 61-kWh battery with a 211 PS motor producing 288 Nm, giving a WLTP combined range of up to 267 miles and 0 to 62 mph in 7.2 seconds. It is a five-seat SUV.
Its JAECOO sibling uses a 60.9 kWh battery and a 207 PS motor for a WLTP combined range of up to 248 miles. On a rapid DC charger it goes from 30 to 80% in around 27 minutes, and it includes dedicated pet-friendly and camping modes. Victor Zhang, Managing Director of OMODA&JAECOO UK, said: “With pump prices as unpredictable as they’ve been this year, that’s real money back in drivers’ pockets.”

UK prices, warranty and offer deadlines
In the UK, the OMODA E5 costs from £33 065 OTR in Knight trim and from £34 565 OTR in Noble. The JAECOO E5 starts at £27 505 OTR in Pure trim and £30 505 OTR in Luxury. Every new model carries a seven-year/100,000-mile warranty and an eight-year/100,000-mile battery warranty. Retailers must make the referral to Octopus Energy by 30 April 2027, and the car must be registered at the buyer’s home address where the charger is to be installed.
