Eskom will continue its current rotation of stage 3 and 4 load shedding before reducing to stage 2 on Friday morning.

Stage 4 will last until 5am on Monday, with the power utility alternating stage 3 and 4 until Wednesday morning.

The extended load shedding is required due to shortage of generation capacity as a result of high levels of breakdowns.
At stage 8 load shedding the outages would last anywhere between 12 and 16 hours.
The utility is struggling with one of its power stations, resulting in three units being shut down, with four units coming offline shortly.
